Brian Taylor is one of the most imposing men in the football media landscape with his command over the microphone and cameras.
But he was put on the back foot on Saturday afternoon when newsbreaker Damian Barrett shared a story he said was 27 years in the making that alleged Taylor had bugged another team’s rooms during the season. “We’re going to go back to 1991-92 when a certain big profiled, big character was captain-coaching a club in the then VFA,” Barrett said on Triple M’s Saturday Rub before being cut off by Taylor. “Damo I have told you since 1991 that this is not true, this is just a made up flimsy operational story. I have legal people,” Taylor said. “I have dealt with your legal threats with this seriously over the years,” Barrett replied. https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/afl-newsbreaker-damian-barrett-has-dropped-a-bombshell-on-brian-taylor/news-story/6cb843c4030eb7ba3e344531da535837

There's an economic imperative to act on climate change, a new Liberal MP has argued in her first speech to federal parliament.
"Climate change is real and affects us all," Katie Allen told the lower house on Monday. "It is not just an environmental imperative to act - it's an economic one. "We need to be open to new possibilities to reduce emissions to hasten that future and use our Australian pragmatism to lead the world in sustainable energy." The new member for the Victorian seat of Higgins says Australians are ready for a conversation on new technologies such as hydrogen, and alternative energy sources such as nuclear. https://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/latest-news/fight-climate-for-economy-new-liberal-mp/news-story/e59a60fe885de7f994238e6a26855d4e It appears that Australians don’t like to share when it comes to bathrooms. According to research by the Housing Industry Association, more and more Australian families are installing extra bathrooms into their homes, where ever space allows. Bathroom renovations and installations are one of those things that, when done well and on a budget, can add more value to your home than they cost to install. Cheap bathroom renovations don’t necessarily mean the room will be of low quality or lack style, it’s simply a case of being able to spend money where it matters, and saving money where you can. But what is a cheap bathroom renovation? How much does a cheap bathroom renovations cost? And why?
How much does an average bathroom renovation cost? In their 2017/2018 kitchens and bathrooms survey, the Housing Industry Association (HIA) found that the average cost of a bathroom installed in a new home to be $16,430, while a bathroom installed as part of a renovation cost $17,522 on average. https://www.bhg.com.au/how-much-does-a-cheap-bathroom-renovation-cost I’m a huge fan of hard flooring, especially with a youngster who drops food and makes all manner of mess, and the combination of hard floor with a beautiful rug is the ideal in my book! Hard flooring is durable, easy to clean, hygienic and looks great, then you simply add a rug for an extra layer (literally) of decor, texture, colour, pattern (or all of the above) with the added bonus of being able to create zones in open plan areas, and something soft under foot when you get out of bed or to sit on in the living room.
